Luís de Camões

He lived and died in the sixteenth century, between the years 1524 (?) and 1580. He was born in Lisbon, and is considered the greatest Portuguese poet and author of the epic poem «Os Lusíadas». The bronze bust is made by Álvaro Raposo de França (1940).
