Marquês Jácome Correia Municipal Field
The Marquês Jácome Correia Municipal Field was built in 1946. For decades it was the main stage for Football on the island. Initially, the field was made of dirt, and it held many generations of local and national football players. It was also the stage for national and international musical events. In the 21st century, some renovations were made in the stands, the locker-rooms, and sanitary facilities, and a synthetic lawn was installed. Today, it is mainly used for youth and senior football.
