Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição – Parish of Fajã de Baixo

The chapel was built in the seventeenth century, in connection to the winemaking activity, which prospered in Fajã de Baixo for a long time until it was replaced by the production of orange. Built by Simão da Fonseca in 1668, it is currently part of the villa "Nostra et Amicorum", adjacent to the A. Arruda Pineapple Plantation.
