Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Lourdes – Parish of Fajã de Baixo

Built by command of José Maria Borges Silveira in the last years of the 19th century. The neo-Gothic style is according to the romantic expression of the time. The cult to Our Lady of Lourdes was brought to the Azores by the Bishop of Angra Dom João Maria Amaral e Pimentel and by Monsignor António Maria Ferreira. Nowadays it’s part of the once existing Senhora da Rosa Inn.
