Church of Nossa Senhora do Carmo - Parish of São José
It is part of the old convent of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, of the Order of Santa Clara, and its patrons were the family of Medeiros and Albuquerque. It was founded in the 17th century and housed a religious order until their extinction in the 19th century.
The facade of the church has doors and windows with baroque decoration, being the interior made of a single nave. After it stopped being a church, this property housed public services, having undergone major works due to the construction of the Conceição Palace in the late 19th century.
