Shelter of Santa Bárbara – Parish of São Sebastião

Property founded in the 17th century by Roque Teixeira da Fonseca and his wife. In the year 1622, it housed the daughters of the founders, as if they were nuns, wearing a white habit of the Third Order of St. Augustine.
