Church and Convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça – St. Augustine Order – Parish of São Pedro
Dating from the 17th century, it functioned as a church until the Religious Orders were extinguished with the 1832decree. In this space had their seats the first High School of Ponta Delgada (the school where many famous Azorean people studied), the Court and Public Library and the Academy of the Arts. Its interior is void any religious vestiges and the former cloister was transformed into the Luís de Camões Auditorium. On the facade symbols of the cardinal that presided over the Graça congregation can be seen. Nowadays this building is not being used.
