Marquês da Praia e Monforte Palace

The Marquis of Praia and Monforte had this palace built in the 19th century and it was here that in 1901 Queen Amelia saw the procession of the Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres and her husband King Carlos I go by. The building has got a central turret, wrought-iron balconies and a grey and white pavement. After the 1974 revolution it was acquired by the local government and has been the seat of several public services.
