Augusto Arruda
Augusto Rebelo Arruda was born on February 28, 1888, and died on January 22, 1964, in Ponta Delgada. He was a prestigious lawyer and notary. He was president of the General Board of the District of Ponta Delgada, having been, on two occasions, elected to the Parliament. Due to being such a dynamic entrepreneur, his role in the development of the Azores as a tourism destination was crucial.
